CUSTOMER REVIEW

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) We'd already paid to convert our 35mm negatives to digital files, about two years ago, but since we still have the negatives, we figured we'd see how well this option works.

It is time consuming and tricky to get the hang of, but once you have it figured out and get yourself rolling with a system, it works well. It is basically like taking a picture of your picture. The JPG gets stored right on the same SD card from your digital camera (not included). You then stick that card into your computer, just like if you'd taken the pictures on a digital camera.

The resulting JPGs are really good quality, and high resolution. The file size of each picture is about 3 MB which is much higher resolution and better quality than what we got from the service that we used in the past. The only pictures that didn't come out great were the ones where the negatives were damaged or faded.

I recommend this machine, at least for 35mm negatives, which is all we tested it with. It takes a lot of work and time, but if you have a lot of pictures, you can save money and get better results with this machine than if you use a professional service. This might actually be the same type of machine that the professional services use.
